I work best where the problem is still becoming clear.
I am a software engineer focused on code analysis, developer tools, and language tooling. My work sits close to compilers: parsers, static analyzers, intermediate representations, diagnostics, code metrics, and tools that help teams understand and improve complex codebases.
Current Focus
Recent work includes symbolic program synthesis, C# static analysis with Roslyn, parser tooling, clone detection, and compiler infrastructure. I am also developing Folk, an experimental Rust language project around ownership, correctness, typed syntax nodes, and diagnostics.
I am growing my security knowledge through PortSwigger labs and bug bounty practice, with the long-term goal of connecting program analysis, correctness, and security tooling.
How I Work
I prefer ownership over narrow ticket handoff. I try to understand the domain, choose the right abstraction, build, test, document, and keep the result understandable.
I like problems with unclear requirements, difficult trade-offs, and enough depth to require careful engineering before implementation.
Outside Of Work
I build my own tools, explore compiler and correctness ideas, learn security, and write about engineering topics that interest me.
I speak Ukrainian, Russian, English, German, and Dutch, and I enjoy learning more. I also swim, play guitar, sing, and occasionally get far too invested in games like Team Fortress 2.
Volunteering
I volunteer with Decolonization.Ukraine, which inventories the Soviet and Russian imperial legacy still standing in Ukraine for removal under the 2015 and 2023 decolonization laws. I communicate with the oblasts, Ukraine's regions, and compare what they report.
In Hamburg I visit a local care home, PFLEGEN & WOHNEN Moosberg, and spend time with residents who otherwise have no visitors. We usually talk in German, watch TV, and play games.
Built and maintained C# and Rust static-analysis infrastructure for the Axivion suite using Roslyn and rust-analyzer.

Extended the C#-to-IR compiler with support for 100+ language features and constructs introduced across 10 versions, from C# 5 through C# 14.
Designed and evolved a multilevel C# clone detector using normalized AST hashing and specialized data structures.
Built a reusable, flow-sensitive taint-analysis engine over Roslyn control-flow graphs and delivered 18 CWE-aligned dataflow checks based on it.
Implemented static validation of C#/native ABI compatibility and P/Invoke declarations for cross-language static analysis.
Expanded Rust semantic modeling with 23 software metrics, 5 language-feature families, 4 additional node kinds, and 6 semantic-relation types.
Maintained rust-analyzer integration through two breaking API-update cycles, adapting semantic analysis, metrics, ABI handling, name mangling, and graph-generation components.
Improved analyzer scalability by parallelizing independent C# parsing and style-check stages while preserving deterministic output.

Completed one academic year of MSc studies in Computer Science at the University of Twente. After reassessing my priorities, I chose to return to full-time software engineering and focus on commercial product development. The experience strengthened my interest in research, and I remain open to pursuing a PhD later in my career.
